What if music could be played freely, without chasing an illusory idea of perfection?Born from the desire to prioritize warm, sincere musical connection over the cold display of technical virtuosity, MANIA celebrates groove, dialogue, and the shared moment above all else. Here, no stylistic rules or constraints apply—only the freedom to explore, to improvise, and to create together through joy, listening, and collaboration.Elly Brouckmans - alto saxophone

TRIO consists of three strong voices which together form the ideal playground for interaction and energy. The repertoire is based on larger forms with arranged parts echoing the complexity of big band repertoire, which are interchanged with sections of collective improvisation. The music of British alto saxophone player Soweto Kinch serves as a main source of inspiration for the proposed compositions.Elly Brouckmans - alto saxophone
Jim Monneau - double bass
Matthias De Waele - drums
